Meet the pack- yuka

Next up in our Meet the Pawsitively Delicious Pack series is a very special girl who knows how to steal the show: Ms. Yuka, our 6-year-old Husky/Shiba Inu mix!

From Shelter Rescue to Total Diva

Yuka joined our family when she was just a little over two years old. She was pulled from the Rowan County Animal Shelter just days before she was scheduled to be euthanized, and we cannot imagine our lives without her. Fast forward to today, and this little rescue pup has transformed into a total diva—and I won't lie, an absolute Mama’s girl through and through!

Dolphin Noises & The Great Houdini

Unlike her talkative pack sisters Nookie and Roxy, Yuka is surprisingly quiet for a dog with Husky roots. However, on the rare occasion she does decide to speak up, it’s usually to defend one of her siblings. The kicker? She doesn't howl—she sounds just like a dolphin, which makes it nearly impossible to take her seriously when she's trying to be tough! While she's typically a very good girl, every once in a while, her inner Houdini comes out to remind us that she can pull off a quick escape the moment she decides there's something interesting to go investigate.

Car Rides, Hockey Balls & Dress-Up

When Yuka isn't plotting her next miniature break-out or riding shotgun on a car ride, you can find her tossing her favorite hockey ball around the room all by herself. But above all, Yuka’s absolute favorite activity is dressing up and showing off her fabulous outfits for everyone to see.
