Every once in a while, a dog comes along who isn’t just adoptable—she’s unforgettable. Roxy is that kind of dog. She’s vibrant, affectionate, and oh-so-goofy, with a heart as big as her paws and a playful energy that lights up every room she enters.
From her love of belly scratches to the way she eagerly joins in on outdoor adventures, Roxy is a joy to know—and even more of a joy to love.
A Heart Full of Goofiness and Grace
Roxy is a beautiful Mountain Cur–Plott Hound mix with an enthusiastic spirit and a gentle soul. She thrives on attention, enjoys a good game of chase (especially if squirrels are involved), and has an irresistible, wiggly charm that makes her truly one of a kind. She’s been described as a “gem” by her foster family—and it’s easy to see why.
Whether she’s cozying up for cuddles or bounding through the backyard, Roxy brings a smile wherever she goes.
Kid-Friendly, Dog-Loving, Adventure-Ready
Roxy isn’t just affectionate—she’s family-ready. She’s lived with kids ages 6 to 12 and did wonderfully with them. She also gets along well with large dogs and others her size, making her a great candidate for a multi-dog household or a family looking for a second pup.
However, her natural prey drive means Roxy isn’t suited for homes with cats or small dogs under 20 lbs. She needs someone who respects her instincts while offering loving guidance.
Roxy’s Resume: She Comes Prepared
Medium/Large female
Breed: Mountain Cur – Plott Hound mix

Roxy will thrive with an active family or a home that already has a playful pup her size. While she may need a few days to adjust to new surroundings, she quickly falls into rhythm and becomes a loving, loyal member of the pack.
Smart Girl, Big Heart
Roxy is incredibly intelligent and responds well to structure, training, and routine. She's a working breed at heart—she loves having a purpose, whether that’s accompanying you in the garden, going for a hike, or simply being your loyal shadow around the house.
She’s curious, attentive, and eager to be involved in whatever you're doing—making her a perfect companion for those who want a dog who’s all-in.
